nuclear weaponWhen entire world are anxious about the security of Pak nuclear arsenal then Paris has offered Islamabad civilian nuclear technology like what India obtained. Pak Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said “France has agreed to transfer civilian nuclear technology to Pakistan. They have agreed that Pakistan should be treated like India”

French President Nicolas Sarkozy said to Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari that Pakistan should have an inclusive deal, too and buy nuclear device like the one got by India. Foreign Minister said Paris had agreed to afford 300 million Euros in aid to Pakistan as well. Besides, 12 million Euros would be provided for the thousands of victims who had been shelter-less by the recent Swat military operation.

An official of French President’s office said Paris is anxious about the security of Pak’s nuclear arsenal. Paris wants Islamabad to strengthen security around its all nuclear establishments. However, he snubbed to comment on the concept of an India-style nuclear contract.

Qureshi said “We will assure the world that we are an important and a responsible nuclear power and we can handle these matters without threatening or endangering anyone.” He added” Pakistan has no issues with the IAEA. We are willing to give international guarantees. We want the world to feel secure, and Pakistan will give all necessary guarantees.”

Qureshi said Islamabad already has a wide-ranging security system for its exclusive nuclear arsenal. He added Pakistan administrations are keen to give guarantees for getting secured nuclear arsenal to the global community.
