Black Hawk   is been serving the US Army since 1979 and now the time has come for upgrade. Recently, the US Army officially released the UH – 60M update and believe me, it comes with all new features and power. It is been said that the Connecticut air-craft manufacturing company  “Sikorsky” is going ti hand out the new Black Hawk to their Army by next year.

The Black Hawk is not only been used in military purpose, it is been also used in such as navy, rescue and so on. So, the Black Hawk is also known as multi-purpose helicopter. It is still unknown that if there is any special production for the defense. However, the new features were released and it’s given below,

New powerful engine
General Electric build a two engines with turboshaft feature which together produce 3,988 hps. It also comes with new rotors which will allow the helicopter to generate 500 pounds higher height than the previous make and will fly more faster.

New strong rotors
The UH-60M upgrade has new rotor blade which has a honeycomb like central core and it is made with   Nomex and embedded in a fiber glass skin. This new rotor blade is lightweight and strong.

Digital new cockpit
The new cockpit contains new full-color flat-screen digital flight monitors, a “stormscope” that can spot ruthless weather fronts. Also, it has a computerized system that can automatically monitor condition of the complete aircraft. There are also many more upgrades but the essential upgrades are GPS, new data connections and modems.
